Alliance set to ‘make waves’ across US saltwater fishing industry

In a move that it believes will ‘make waves’ across the saltwater fishing industry, a group of US investors have joined forces to form an alliance known as Open Water Brands.
The brands – Clarkspoon, Sea Striker, Star Rods, GOT-CHA, Calcutta, Krok, Beach Runner, Contour and Nungesser – are each recognised for their individual legacies and contributions to saltwater angling and are combining their strengths to provide a unified approach to product availability, innovation and development.
“This partnership represents more than a business move – it is a shared vision of these brands and the recreational fishing industry,” said Graig Zurn, who with Christian Bedsworth, will run the day to day operations as Managing Partners of Open Water Brands.
Bedsworth added: “Open Water Brands will be committed to preserving the legacy of many of these brands that Dick Henry, founder of Henry’s Tackle, developed and will build upon the long-lasting and meaningful relationships that have defined these brands for decades.”
