Angling Direct announces acquisition and opens 49th store

In the same week that it opened its 49th store in the UK, Angling Direct announced the purchase of HF Angling, of Crewe, Cheshire, England.
The Norfolk-based business has described the acquisition as a ‘substantial milestone’. “We are thrilled to gain the knowledge, expertise and experience of the current team,” it said in a post on its LinkedIn page.
“Acquiring HF Angling is a significant step forward for everyone. With the combined strengths of two leading businesses, we are now set to create a more remarkable angling retail experience in and around Crewe.
“We are confident this move will be hugely beneficial as it enables us to deliver the ever-increasing range and depth of product and choices demanded in today’s rapidly changing retail world.”
Writing on the hfangling blog, Chris Taylor, of HF Angling, added: “This is a significant milestone that secures the future of HF Angling and your local tackle shop within the angling community. We are thrilled and confident this move will be hugely beneficial to you and our team as it enables us to deliver the ever-increasing range, better prices, depth of product and choices demanded in today’s rapidly changing retail world.
