Award winner leads Foundation Outdoor Group’s China Fish charge

Share

Florida’s American Tackle has revealed its Beijing line-up.

With Foundation Outdoor Group acquiring American Tackle and Mud Hole Custom Tackle last August to create the world’s largest supplier of fishing rod components, supplies, and equipment, the 2024 China Fish exhibition is the first appearance the newly formed company will make in Beijing.

Largely anchored by American Tackle fishing rod components, the Foundation team says it is excited to share its broad stable of brands and products with other fishing industry powerhouses next month.

“Although we haven’t yet been to China Fish officially as Foundation Outdoor Group, we’ve been represented there for the past decade through American Tackle”, said Brook Oliva, Foundation’s President and COO. Besides American Tackle and Mud Hole Custom Tackle, Foundation also owns MHX premium fishing rod blanks, Custom Rod Builder (CRB) tools, blanks, and components, and the ProProducts line of fishing rod thread and adhesives.

Foundation also distributes some of the industry’s other leading brands, including AFTCO, CFX, Flex Coast, Fuji, Generation 4, REC Components, Snake Brand, Winn and Winthrop, making Foundation Outdoor Group a one-stop-shop for anyone in the rod components market.

Given the audience attending China Fish, however, the focus will be on American Tackle, the award-winning, innovative, premium component manufacturer that top fishing rod companies have come to trust.

American Tackle Leads the Way (Again)

Having recently taken home the Best New Product (Rod Component) at EFTTEX 2023 and Best of Show honours at ICAST 2023 (its 15th industry award for product design), American Tackle’s Tsuka 2 Complete Carbon Handle will be among the most sought-after products at China Fish.

The Tsuka 2 is a game-changing advancement in fishing rod handle design that redefines the angling experience, says American Tackle. Engineered for discerning anglers and forward-thinking rod designers, the Tsuka 2 pushes the boundaries of carbon handle technology, offering unprecedented strength, feel and weight relief through blow-molded, forged carbon fiber construction.

Award-Winning Rod Guides

For fishing rod manufacturers from around the world, China Fish will provide the opportunity to get a true feel for the wide variety of American Tackle’s cutting-edge fishing rod guides.

Among the guides on display will be its TiForged line. Whether the best-selling TiForged or the TiForged Air guides (offering a slimmer profile and ideal for carp, surf and boat rod applications), these guides are appearing on fishing rods across the globe from major manufacturers.

For heavy freshwater and saltwater applications, rod designers can get a feel for American Tackle’s Virtus guides for their sturdy, stainless-steel frame construction with Nanolite or Duralite rings for the smoothest line transition. Already available in light, heavy and unlimited versions, American Tackle recently added Virtus XHD models for extreme durability with higher ring location for extra heavy rods.

The award-winning MicroWave Guide series will be on display at China Fish too, featuring the MW20 finesse spinning guides. The MicroWave Line Control System has taken home six Best of Show innovation awards, and the MW20 has become the most popular line within the series.

Another popular guide series at Beijing will be American Tackle’s DELTA Snagless Guides. With a double-foot design, heavy gauge 316 stainless-steel is married to Nanolite rings with either Matte Gunsmoke or Matte Black finish in a wide selection of sizes and heights for almost limitless rod design possibilities.

Reel Seats for Top-Tier Fishing Rods

From fly to offshore, spinning to casting, American Tackle will be displaying a wide selection of high quality reel seats at China Fish.

The A2 Series Fly Seats are the pinnacle of performance and aesthetics, providing TiChrome or Black finish with 3K Carbon, Rosewood, Burl Rosewood, and Hickory insert options. A2 fly seats are available in a variety of sizes to meet any fly rod builder’s needs.

New to American Tackle’s arsenal is the PTRS Graphite Palming Trigger Casting Reel Seat. China Fish visitors will experience this advanced design where the longer trigger is located further to the rear of the seat – allowing the angler’s palm to rest on the trigger.

American Tackle’s most popular spinning seat, the AERO Series provides palm support and comfort finish for long hours on the water. Aero seats are made from the most durable, lightweight graphite and stainless hoods.

POSI-LOCK machined aluminum reel seats provide a channeled design for a positive fit. These durable, saltwater seats give anglers the confidence needed across most any fishery, in a range of sizes and colours.

American Tackle’s CRSDT Graphite Deluxe Casting Trigger Reel Seats are lightweight and durable, made with a graphite/nylon body composition. Hoods are available in stainless and black and the inner diameter is ribbed for better glue bonding.
