Scandinavian tackle supplier Fairpoint has appointed a Country Manager for the largest recreational fishing market in Europe.
It has signed Marc Bierwolf to look after sales for DACH – Germany, Austria and Switzerland. He will take over from Dietmar Isaiasch, who will move to a new role focused on marketing and product development.
“We are thrilled to bring Marc onboard as Country Manager – DACH,” said Thomas Petersen, Fairpoint CSO Europe and founder. “Marc brings many years of experience from the region to the table, and I expect him to hit the ground running.
“With his skills and track record we are all set to take our business in the region to the next level. Dietmar has done a fantastic job for the company as Country Manager Germany and it is time for him to move into a new role, which also has a big place in his heart – marketing and product development. I am confident that, together, Marc and Dietmar will reach our ambitious goals for the DACH market.”
Bierwolf will take on the responsibility for the sales of Fairpoint’s brands, Westin and Kinetic, from August 1st. He will be a familiar face to most DACH customers due to his long track record in the fishing tackle industry, a career which began in 1996.
A passionate fisherman, Bierwolf lives with his family in northern Germany. “I am very happy to become part of a great company,” he said. “I see enormous growth potential in the future by bringing my sales experience to bear alongside an ambitious and fantastic team.“
Thomas Sanotra, Fairpoint COO, said: “Isaiasch is one of the most renowned anglers throughout the DACH region and has a strong social and traditional media following. This, combined with his vast knowledge of predator fishing and attention to detail, make him the ideal person within the marketing and product development team.
“I am very excited to be able to get a person like Dietmar in my team,” added Sanotra. “His broad knowledge of our great industry, combined with his tireless drive to innovate in both marketing and product development, makes him a very ‘rare’ talent. I’m sure that this new set-up will bring speed, passion and innovation to the table and through this we will continue to thrill all of our loyal customers around the world.”
Isaiasch will remain in position as Country Manager until Bierwolf joins the company.
