Line maker says EFTTEX starter package ‘offers real value for money’

Share

One of Europe’s top makers of line has praised the starter package introduced at EFTTEX to encourage newcomers to the show.

Hungarian-based OEM Balázs Filament Technologies (BFT), which also has its own CARBOTEX brand, is returning to Europe’s top tackle trade show in June, and has backed the basic European Starter Package Stand Reservations offer.

Lajos Balázs, Managing Director of the business, told Angling International: ”It is a practical option for those exhibiting at EFTTEX for the first time as it offers real value for money.”

He added that his company is looking forward to returning to EFTTEX after a four-year break. “The relationship between manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers and the end user has changed over recent years. The distribution network has become more impersonal thanks to activities going online.

“However, BFT finds it essential to have personal contact with its partners and to meet them occasionally. We are so-called ‘old fashioned’ businessmen who believe in those relationships.

“Shows like EFTTEX provide great opportunities to gain new business and grow current ones. The show is important for us and we believe it should be the same for all European manufacturers. By representing the company and its products we are able to strengthen the European trade as a whole.

“We attend the show not only for its special benefits, but as a European manufacturer we feel it is our duty to be present at the biggest and best European fishing tackle trade exhibition.”

Last year BFT entered the EFTTEX Digital Best New Products Awards, winning one and finishing runners-up in two. It took the top prize in the saltwater fishing category for its CARBOTEX Planet Ocean line. “We were really pleased with our success,” added Balázs. “We are looking forward to showing off our products in person in June.”

BFT has been an ever-present at EFTTEX since 1997 and is looking forward to a return to Budapest, where it was among the exhibitors in 2017 (below).
