Australian tackle supplier merges with distributor

Gansel Australia, an established fishing tackle supplier, has merged with leading distributor of world-famous fishing brands Viva Australia in a move designed to create a ‘stronger and more competitive’ company.

With over two decades of experience in servicing tackle shops in the country, Viva has become the go-to supplier of recognised brands, including Lox, Hayabusa, Shout, Megabass, Asakura, Pioneer, Jigging Master and Youvella. Gansel has a long-standing reputation for providing products and services to chain stores like Kmart and Big W.

“We are excited to merge with Viva Australia, which shares the same passion for fishing and the same commitment to customer satisfaction,” said Dirk Hill, CEO of Gansel. “Together we can leverage our respective strengths and build a stronger company that delivers the best products and services to our customers.”

As part of the merger, Viva Australia will move its operations to Gansel’s warehouse in Ingelbourn, a suburb of Sydney. The merger is expected to be completed within the next six months.
