Sakura has announced a new distribution agreement with Japanese lure specialist Good Bait, expanding its offering for anglers targeting giant tuna and other powerful saltwater predators.
The SERT-owned brand will distribute a selected range of Good Bait lures and colour patterns developed for demanding exotic-fishing and big-game applications. The move continues Sakura’s long-standing collaboration with leading Japanese tackle brands.

Designed for high-pressure saltwater fishing, the Good Bait range combines precise lure design with robust construction. Each model is developed with close attention to materials, finish and swimming action – key factors when pursuing species such as bluefin tuna, giant trevally, amberjack and dogtooth tuna.
The collection covers three essential lure styles:
Together, the three categories give anglers the flexibility to adapt their presentation to the species, feeding activity and sea conditions.

Good Bait lures are built from reinforced ABS plastic and incorporate a full internal stainless-steel wire system for added strength when fighting hard-charging fish. They are supplied unhooked, allowing anglers to select their preferred terminal set-up. Recommended hook sizes are printed on the back of each lure.
“With extensive experience of exotic fishing around the world, Sakura understands the importance of dependable tackle when targeting serious saltwater predators,” explained Sakura Product Manager Franck Rosmann. “The Good Bait range brings practical, purpose-built options for both surface and subsurface fishing.”
