Korth Group continues fishing tackle portfolio expansion

The Korth Group has continued the expansion of its fishing portfolio with the addition of four brands following the bankruptcy of Big Rock Sports .
Seaguar, G. Pucci & Sons, X Zone Lures and Z-Man have joined the Canadian-based distributor’s range, strengthening its offer to fishing retailers ahead of the 2027 booking-programme season. The group says that the recent additions of fishing tackle brands is in direct response to calls from retailers across the country which have been impacted by the demise of Big Rock Sports – one of North America’s largest distributors of tackle.
Korth said the newest additions give dealerships access to a broader selection of fishing lines, lures, tackle, nets and accessories across freshwater and saltwater categories. The businesses follow in the footsteps of PRADCO-Fishing, Daiwa, Northland Tackle, Eagle Claw, Yamamoto and Thompson-Pallister Bait Company which signed up earlier this year.
Seaguar, recognised as the inventor of fluorocarbon fishing line, brings its proprietary resins and vertically controlled manufacturing process to the portfolio. G. Pucci & Sons adds brands including P-Line, Pucci, Beckman Fishing Nets, 1st GEN Fishing and Point Wilson Darts.
Canadian lure brand, X Zone Lures, part of VRX Fishing Products, serves freshwater and saltwater anglers, with a particular focus on bass and walleye. Meanwhile, Z-Man joins the line-up with more than 35 years’ experience in innovative lure development.
The distributor has also launched its 2027 Fishing Booking Programme, giving Canadian dealers access to product ranges from more than 40 fishing brands.
The family-owned business has more than four decades of experience in the outdoor sector and operates as a coast-to-coast Canadian distributor across the hunting, shooting and fishing industries.
