Hammer time! Influencers invited to demo Stardust coating

Share

An award-winning Greek tackle supplier is calling on fishing influencers, content creators and tackle testers across Europe to put its Stardust powder-paint coating through the most compelling demonstration – by hitting it with a hammer.

Theodore Ratzonis, owner of Global Fishing Solutions (GFS), says Stardust is a unique, no-cure powder coating for jigheads, lures and other fishing accessories. Applied in seconds, the coating is designed to be exceptionally tough, resisting cracking and peeling even under repeated impact. Unlike conventional powder paints, which generally require oven curing, Stardust needs no curing process. And as the ban on the sale of lead tackle looms in Europe, Ratzonis points out that Stardust is applicable on any metal surface.

The key, though, is its strength.

“Stardust is very much a seeing-is-believing product,” said Ratzonis. “The claim sounds almost too good to be true until people see the hammer test for themselves. That is why we want European influencers to test it on camera and share the results with their audiences.

“Having influencers demonstrate the hammer test on video is the perfect way to prove its worth to the European fishing community. Many US customers are already showing off this characteristic of Stardust.”

The product caused a stir at Angling International LIVE, where GFS demonstrated its durability both on its booth and on stage. Stardust went on to win the Carp & Feeder category in the event’s New Product Showcase, helping the company generate new enquiries from companies from across Europe and further afield.

“We demonstrated its unbreakable nature at our booth and later on stage, which created a massive buzz. The reaction was incredible,” says Ratzonis.

Available in standard, sparkle, camouflage, UV fluorescent, glow and pearl finishes, Stardust offers lure makers and anglers a fast way to create durable, eye-catching products.

GFS has already achieved sales success in Greece and Mediterranean markets and is now focused on extending Stardust’s reach into northern Europe. Czech catfish specialist Vagner is already creating significant impact across the continent with jigs finished in Stardust.

GFS also points to its established US business, where it has supplied recognised American brands as a manufacturing partner for more than six years – an opportunity that began following an earlier appearance at ICAST.

GFS is inviting online creators to make direct contact to trial Stardust. The brief is simple: test the coating, by using a hammer and showing their followers its toughness alongside its colour, UV and glow performance.

The company is also seeking distributors, particularly in northern European markets, with an interest in high-quality, environmentally-friendly fishing products. Ratzonis explained that Stardust helps isolate the metal beneath the coating from direct contact with water. Its colourants, pigments and stabilisers are food-based and classed as non-hazardous. While the material is not biodegradable, GFS says its manufacturing philosophy is centred on protecting fish and people.

Alongside Stardust, GFS offers a full OEM service from its base in Greece. With 15 years’ specialist experience, it manufactures silicone soft lures, jigs, jigheads, trolling lures, groundbaits, bait enhancers and fishing accessories for customers worldwide.

From R&D and digital prototyping through to mass production, packaging and delivery, GFS positions itself as a one-stop European factory for brand owners wanting to bring a lure or bait concept to market.

For influencers interested in testing Stardust, or distributors and brands seeking an OEM partner, GFS invites direct contact to discuss collaboration.
