Mud Hole Custom Tackle fundraiser makes $30,000 for CCA Florida

Share

Mud Hole Custom Tackle raised an estimated $30,000 for a renowned Florida conservation group at the organisation’s 26th annual Orlando BBQ fundraiser.

More than 150 guests attended the family-friendly event, hosted at Mud Hole’s 5,000sqft Curt Baker Memorial Education Center in Oviedo for the Florida-based Coastal Conservation Association (CCA).

The proceeds will support CCA Florida initiatives to conserve, protect and restore marine ecosystems across the state. “We are proud to support CCA’s continued conservation efforts here in our home state,” said Brook Oliva, President and COO of Foundation Outdoor Group and Mud Hole. “The 26th annual barbeque was a great success and we’re so pleased to participate and support the event in any way possible.

“We raised significant funds, enjoyed some great food and music and had a great time throughout the evening.”

Oliva, who is also President of the CCA Orlando Chapter, joined CCA Florida’s Management Committee earlier this year. A Florida native and UCF graduate, he has spent 24 years in the sportfishing industry.

CCA Florida Executive Director, Brian Gorski, said: “We’re so pleased to partner with Brook and the entire team at Mud Hole for this year’s event. The facility was perfect for our guests, contributors and entertainment.

“Not only was it an entertaining evening, we exceeded our attendance and fundraising goals, which will help us drive awareness and action in support of preserving our marine environments.”
