Lure brand: ‘EFTTEX in Barcelona was our launchpad’

Share

LuresLab has hailed EFTTEX 2026 as a breakthrough event for the brand, describing the exhibition as the moment it ‘stepped confidently’ onto the European stage and confirmed it plans to accelerate expansion across key fishing markets in the region.

Making its first major international appearance, the premium lure manufacturer reported strong distributor interest from France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Poland and several Middle Eastern markets, with a number of discussions already progressing towards formal partnerships.

“The atmosphere was energetic, the organisation smooth and the quality of visitors very high,” said Dinos Panayi (above centre), CEO of the Cyprus-based company. “For LuresLab, this show felt like a true launchpad. The feedback, interest and professionalism we experienced exceeded our expectations.”

The company arrived at EFTTEX with clear objectives: introducing the LuresLab brand to Europe, showcasing its latest high-end lure developments, connecting with distributors and validating its concepts with anglers and industry professionals.

According to Panayi, all targets were achieved, with visitors responding positively to its focus on innovation, engineering and premium product design.

Among the products attracting the strongest attention was the EZSquid Shad 70, which enhanced the brand’s visibility after being named runner-up in the saltwater hard lure category at the EFTTEX Awards. The EZDog series also generated considerable interest thanks to its unique mechanical ‘walk-the-dog’ action.

Building on the momentum from EFTTEX, LuresLab’s immediate focus is to establish distribution partnerships in France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Germany and Scandinavia. The company believes these regions offer strong opportunities due to their established lure fishing cultures and demand for premium, performance-driven products.

“We are looking for distributors who value innovation, exclusivity and long-term growth,” said Panayi. “Our goal is to build partnerships with businesses that share our vision and want to grow with the brand.”

Panayi believes its combination of original lure concepts, proven on-the-water performance and strong brand identity gives it a competitive advantage in export markets increasingly seeking innovation rather than product copies.

Following what it describes as a highly successful debut, the company has confirmed its intention to return to EFTTEX in 2027 in Prague, using the show as a platform to strengthen relationships, introduce new products and continue its international growth strategy.
