Before the doors to EFTTEX are opened in Barcelona later this month, the big story had already been written – the return to the show of the world’s largest fishing tackle supplier Pure Fishing.
News that company and its world famous brands would be attending Europe’s premier trade show for the first time since 2019 has given the event a huge boost.
Vicki Bohlbro Lyngholm, Pure Fishing EMEA Marketing Director, told Angling International: “The company is looking forward to talking to the trade again. It is an opportunity for us to meet key retailers and show them our major product launches for the year. This usually happens in September, but visitors to EFTTEX will be able to see them three months early, place their orders and discuss business plans for the new season. Those who aren’t attending EFTTEX will miss out on that.”
Bohlbro Lyngholm is also promising visitors to its booth the full Pure Fishing experience with the company’s stand promising to be the largest and most spectacular at the show. “We are not going there to sit in the corner,” she added.
Pure Fishing and its brands have a proud history in the New Product Awards – the undoubted highlight of the show – and it will once again be making a major attempt at winning awards with entries from its big guns. Those aiming for awards include Savage Gear, Abu Garcia, Berkley, PENN, Plano and Prologic. The event will also see the return of Savage Gear’s celebrated rat – a winner in previous years. Visitors to the Pure Fishing will be able to see the latest incarnation – the Mutant Rat. Abu Garcia’s latest baitcaster and a new storage system from Plano are also likely to attract particular attention.
“The show will focus on the big launches of the year and we have a range of new products that are going to excite visitors,” promised Bohlbro Lyngholm.
