Polish tackle supplier Konger is using its presence at EFTTEX to accelerate international expansion, with a clear focus on strengthening its distribution network and building long-term business partnerships.
Backed by more than four decades of industry experience, the brand is targeting new markets across Europe and beyond, positioning itself as a reliable partner offering proven products, consistent support and attractive commercial margins.

The Konger booth will showcase a comprehensive and commercially established range of fishing tackle. This includes rods, reels, braids, monofilament lines, hooks, jig heads, lures and a broad selection of accessories.
The portfolio is designed to span multiple segments and price points, enabling partners to create balanced and competitive product offerings tailored to their markets. The emphasis remains firmly on reliable, high-turnover products that deliver consistent value to anglers.
Konger has already built a solid presence in the Baltic states and across eastern Europe. Lukasz Koziol, the company’s Senior Product Manager, told Angling International that these markets continue to demonstrate both product reliability and the strength of long-term partnerships, providing a stable platform for further international growth.
Konger is actively targeting western Europe, with particular focus on Germany, France and the Scandinavian region.“These markets are seen as offering strong growth potential and a natural fit with Konger’s existing product range,” he said. “The goal is to establish scalable and sustainable partnerships that can support long-term development.
“We are open in our approach to collaboration, seeking to work with wholesalers, retailers and distributors alike. Flexibility is central to our partnership model, with structured support tailored to different business needs. The emphasis is on building relationships based on trust, performance and shared growth objectives.

“With over 40 years in the fishing tackle sector, Konger brings a combination of market experience, operational stability and proven product performance. Our key strengths include competitive pricing, consistent stock availability and a stable pricing policy – factors that provide partners with predictable and secure business conditions.”
He added that among its export-ready products, fishing rods stand out as a particular strength, combining performance, durability and user-focused design. “The Streeto rod (above) highlights the company’s design and engineering capabilities. This is complemented by a strong offering in lines and accessories, supported by year-round availability and pricing stability,” said Koziol. The ultralight Streeto Air rod – weighing just 56g – was an award winner at the 2017 EFTTEX show and at the time was the lightest spinning rod in the world. “We are now developing even lighter models,” added Koziol.

Among its many popular brands is the MethodMan for method feeder (reels shown above) and CarpLab (below) for carp fishing. “We offer rods and reels for both which come with a full five-year warranty,” Koziol added. “We believe that trust and reliability is in short supply as a result of all the cheap tackle coming from the eastern markets.

“A longer warranty and the durability of our tackle also reduces waste and our carbon footprint, which is very important to the company.”
Koziol said that Konger views trade shows as a vital platform for industry engagement and international growth. “This year’s EFTTEX is seen as especially important for reinforcing our presence in western Europe and advancing our expansion strategy.”
