Share

The JMC KULT Series represents a landmark in freshwater fly rods. “This is the largest and most ambitious series JMC has ever launched, combining cutting-edge technology, premium materials, and unmatched value,” Jean-Baptiste Nuremberg, Fly Fishing Products Manager at the SERT-owned company told Angling International.

“Designed for technical anglers, every rod in the series is engineered for precision, sensitivity and control, making it a natural extension of the arm.”

At the core of the series is Toray 40T CA1100G carbon, delivering:

  • Exceptional casting accuracy in all river conditions
  • Power to handle larger flies and fish effortlessly
  • Responsive action that enhances every strike and drift

The full KULT line-up delivers a rod for every technique:

  • 7’6” #2/3 – three-piece: Ideal for delicate presentations on small shaded streams, targeting wary trout with finesse.
  • 7’6” #3/4/5 TLT – three-piece: Specifically designed for TLT. Compact, with tapered action, it excels in precision casts and short-line techniques.
  • 8’6” #4/5 – four-piece: A versatile rod for dry fly and sight-nymphing, offering pinpoint accuracy and technical control for mid-sized rivers.
  • 9’ #3/4 – four-piece: Optimised for fine dry fly and nymph techniques on medium rivers, balancing delicacy and strength.
  • 9’ #4/5 – 4-piece: The all-round river rod. Perfect for classic techniques; if you only own one rod, this is the choice for every situation.
  • 9’ #5/6 – four-piece: Designed for large rivers and bigger fish, yet versatile across dry, nymph and streamer fishing. A powerful, confident tool.
  • 10’ #3/4 – four-piece: For technical fishing on large rivers or fast-flowing torrents. Ideal for dry, nymph or combined dry-nymph techniques requiring long, delicate casts.
  • 10’ #4/5 – four-piece: Suited for classic big-river and torrent fishing, combining smoothness and power. Perfect for year-round use, for example on rivers like the Dordogne.
  • 10’6” #2/3 – four-piece: The ultimate nymphing rod, capable of handling small or larger weighted flies with precision across modern Euronymphing techniques.
  • 11’ #1/2 – four-piece: Specialised for nymph fishing in difficult conditions, detecting the most subtle strikes.
  • 11’ #3/4 – four-piece: Built for maximum control in large, fast rivers where heavier nymphs are needed to trigger strikes from larger fish.

“Every KULT rod is a tool for anglers who demand precision, control and adaptability,” said Nurenberg. “Whether you are stalking trout under overhanging branches, nymphing tight lines in a fast current or casting streamers in wide rivers, the KULT Series is engineered to handle it all.

“Each rod delivers sensitivity, power and responsiveness, turning every drift, cast and strike into a moment of total immersion. With the KULT Series, JMC elevates freshwater fly fishing, offering a technical solution for every river, every technique, and every fish.”

The models are price from 329€ to 349€.
