KastKing’s message to EFTTEX visitors: Can you match our pace?

Share

Few brands in fishing tackle can match the meteoric rise of KastKing. Launched just 13 years ago, KastKing has grown into a global powerhouse with a product assortment running into tens of thousands of SKUs.

With EFTTEX 2025 almost a year behind it, KastKing once again sets its sights on the European marketplace. KastKing will arrive at EFTTEX 2026 in Barcelona with a clear message to distributors and retailers: we’re here to partner, we’re here to grow – and we are offering high margins to those who can match our pace.

“EFTTEX 2025 was a learning lesson about how the European market conducts business in today’s marketplace. We’ve spent the last year preparing updated programmes, pricing and structures to ensure that our distributor partners can maximise their potential revenues in this competitive landscape,” says KastKing’s Business Director, Eric Knickerbocker. “Our programmes, supply chain and retail assortment have been refined and prepared to ensure maximum exposure. We’ve perfected our model in the US and now Europe can realise the same benefits. We’re certainly ready to hit the road at full throttle!”

Leading the charge at EFTTEX 2026 will be the reintroduction of its new Mg-Ti Elite Titanium Spool baitcasting reel and the new ‘more affordable’ Al-Ti Elite baitcaster.

The Mg-Ti has been developed to incorporate the world’s first true titanium spool and shaft for ultra-lightweight performance and superior strength. With a 0.35mm thin wall and a weight of just 7g, it casts ‘effortlessly with minimal inertia’, says KastKing.

The new Al-Ti uses the same technology and internal components of the Mg-Ti; titanium spools and shaft, but with a fully aluminum frame. As opposed to the magnesium frame of the Mg-Ti, the affordability of the aluminum frame Al-Ti (above) allows the reel to have all the same performance features of the Mg-Ti, but at a more affordable price point.

Along with many other industry-first accomplishments, these two new high technology reels are perfect examples of why KastKing has grown at breathtaking speed. Founded in 2013 by Tate Cui while completing his MBA at Syracuse University, KastKing took shape after Cui recognised the power of fishing to connect people with nature. His mission: to create a brand that delivered high quality tackle at accessible prices, without cutting corners. In just two years, KastKing products were being sold in all 50 US states and more than 150 countries worldwide.

What sets KastKing apart is its direct connection with anglers and a product development strategy rooted in consumer feedback. What started with rods, reels and line has since expanded into tools, apparel, sunglasses, bags, baits and more. Whether it’s for freshwater or saltwater, KastKing aims to be a one-stop solution for anglers of every level.

Now, the company is seeking additional distribution partners across Europe and is offering generous margins to those who can meet its clear expectations: real inventory, real commitment and real ambition.

“We’re not looking for order-passers,” added Knickerbocker. “We want distributors who truly distribute – who carry stock, who can supply their retail networks quickly and who want to be part of something fast-moving and long-term.”

KastKing’s model combines premium design, value pricing and an obsession with innovation. That has helped it build a loyal consumer base and earn praise from retailers and wholesalers alike who highlight the brand’s product quality, affordability and exceptional service – all of which translate into strong sell-through and excellent ROI.

With established distributors in some European territories already reporting success, KastKing believes there is still ‘enormous untapped potential’ in the region – and EFTTEX will be its biggest step yet in unlocking it.

The company is keeping an open mind about exactly who it will meet in Barcelona. “We’ve got a clearer picture of our European strategy than we did last year, but we’re still learning. Unlike some of the larger companies’ rigid programmes, we can be flexible and adaptable. We’re excited to speak with distributors and retailers of all sizes who want to grow with us,” said Knickerbocker.

Backed by its ‘Fueled by Innovation philosophy, KastKing is investing heavily in new product development and believes it can sustain a pace of innovation that most brands struggle to match. The goal? To make KastKing one of the top-selling names in any distributor’s portfolio.

With its explosive growth story, distinctive offer and aggressive expansion plan, KastKing is already being tipped as one of the top draws at EFTTEX 2026. For European distributors looking for margin, momentum and a proven model, it could be the most important conversation they have at the show.
