UK tackle trade to launch angling summit

Share

The first-ever UK Angling Summit – organised by the region’s trade body – will take place in November.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, November 19 and will feature a string of high-profile speakers and industry experts from across the world, discussing key topics that impact UK trade and recreational angling.

ATA chair Andrew Race said: “A UK angling summit is vital for a well-organised and well-funded fishing industry growth plan. The trade needs to be fully aware of the facts affecting its trade and the environment in which it operates. Only then can it make informed decisions about a sustainable future.

“Part of the ATA’s role is to make data available and improve awareness for its members to invest. Brands need to know what they are investing in and where the money is going. Knowledge of the facts gives them a better standpoint to make those decisions.

“Our annual UK summit will provide a focus for discussion and give a voice to anyone in the trade who wants to attend.”

More details of speakers and the full itinerary will be sent to the trade as soon as they are confirmed.
