Daiwa US head takes on extended global role

The head of the Daiwa Corporation in the US has taken a role with the Japanese brand’s parent company Globeride that will see his responsibilities extended to take in its operations in South America and Australia.
Carey Graves has accepted the role of Executive Officer and Representative Director of Globeride, effective immediately. “I am both humbled and honoured not only to continue my role here in the United States and Western Hemisphere for our fishing products, but also contributing to the group’s success worldwide,” he said.
Graves joined the American Daiwa Corporation in 2016 as Vice President of Sales, followed by his promotion to President in 2021. He has served multiple times and continues to serve on the Americian Sportfishing Association (ASA) Board of Directors.
During his time at Daiwa Graves has overseen the move from its longtime office and warehouse in Cypress, California, to a new facility in Foothill Ranch, California, which more than doubled its warehouse and shipping operations, alongside creating the office business environment for future growth.
