After a two-year break EFTTEX – Europe’s premier fishing tackle trade show – is returning and it’s back for good!
That’s the upbeat message from Janet Doyle (right), who has returned to the helm of the show this year in Brussels and who oversaw the event in its heyday, helping establish it as one of the world’s top industry events.
She told Angling International: “I am delighted to see EFTTEX back on the show calendar and it is here to stay. After a period of absence people are genuinely excited to be returning to the event again.”
New life has been breathed into EFTTEX following the decision of Angling International to merge its show with EFTTEX for the good of the industry. “Since the two shows combined, exhibitor confidence has grown, giving us even more confidence that it will be a highly successful event,” added Doyle.
“The response of the trade to the return of EFTTEX has been very encouraging. This year there have been many challenges for the show and exhibitors, so having one event for the industry confirmed it is positive news for everyone.
“EFTTEX is the leading pan European show that also attracts participants from across the world and its international appeal has been underlined by demand from foreign businesses for a booth in Brussels. We expect more than 30 countries to be represented,” added Doyle.
“Our aim for EFTTEX this year will be to concentrate on building on its strength as a quality B2B show with a strong following. This year we want to run a successful event that people will want to return to in years to come,” said Doyle.
Highlights of a returning EFTTEX this year include:
- The popular EFTTEX Gala Dinner is back! Don’t miss being among the first to know who the Best New Product Award winners are.
- City attraction. The show takes place in the EU capital of Brussels, a popular European tourist attraction that is easily accessible from many major international locations.
- Exhibitors will be able to reserve one-on-one meetings with the EFTTEX IP lawyer via the exhibition manual.
The Best New Product Awards have long been a highlight of EFTTEX. Doyle said: “It is an important event that has major implications for the winners in the shape of marketing opportunities that last throughout the year through many media platforms.
“One of the endearing aspects of the show has always been its platform for the industry to meet up with old friends – something that has been missing in recent years.”
Doyle added that she has big plans for a returning EFTTEX. “It will once again become the biggest fishing tackle trade show in Europe!”
