Scorziello SASA continues to break new barriers across its brands

Italian fishing tackle supplier Scorziello SASA broke new boundaries in 2024 with the breadth of products offered across its brands.
And no sooner had the company’s 2025 catalogue hit the desks of retailers in September, the whole SASA team was already thinking ahead and developing new offerings which will be presented at Italy’s Pescare Show.
Export Manager Amando Zito lifts the lid on some of the attractions that the trade can look forward to this year.
JATSUI MOONSTER X8 BRAID
The brand underlined its expertise in braided lines with the release of the Angling International LIVE award-winning Jatsui Z8. “Research led to the development of a new proposal in terms of braid,” explained Zito. “The name of the line, JATSUI Moonster, is a play on words between moon and monster with a monster depicted in pure Japanese style on the box, portrayed in the shadow of the moon. Beyond the packaging, this is a very high quality braid in eight strengths with superlative characteristics that is worthy of its name – boasting unreal softness, very high density, extremely smooth surface and infinite durability. It’s a future classic.”

WAX REELS
Described as ‘popular, interesting, versatile and beautiful to look at’, this new series of reels are planned to be released later this year by the WAX brand. The BRUTALITY BT, FLUX and SPINNER will be joining stablemates that include Trax, Winch Arax, Shaw and Altera. BRUTALITY is a reel that – as its name suggest – is designed for ‘heavy’ fishing, which requires a big reel that transmits power and strength. It has nine stainless steel bearings, slow oscillation of the spool, carbon drag, aluminium spool and knob and an ergonomic finish. The FLUX completes the series of spinning reels and comes in different sizes from 2000 dedicated for light game to 6000. The EXTREEME version is designed for heavier fishing styles.

FALCON VENERE BOLO SERIES
The ageless series of Bolo rods from Falcon have been upgraded with this release which comes in four colour variations of Rossa, Blue, Viola and Nera. “They follow the January launch of the VENERE BOLO NO LIMIT, the ultimate model that is made with cross carbon that can cast incredible weights,” says Zito. “We fished reefs in very rough seas and lifted big fish. I am sure they will be very popular in Europe.”

CAPTAIN J TROLLING LURES AND RODS
The newest brand in the Scorziello distribution portfolio, it is dedicated to fishing from a boat or coastal trolling for large tuna. “These products have been inspired by the American trolling culture,” said Zito. “The first appeared a few months ago, setting a trend in the Mediterranean, and a full range will be complete by the end of the year.
“Another 2025 event – and the most important release from the brand – will be the drop of the first two series of Captain J branded rods, the Sea Master and Sniper. As well as being refined, functional and meticulously finished, they will come in 15 designs to cover all offshore saltwater techniques.”

JATSUI CYCLOPS EXTREEME
One of the most versatile tools supplied by JATSUI. It is a hybrid that can be used in trolling and vertical styles in combination with live or dead baits or silicone lures. “Cyclops has two rings to allow it to be versatile and adapted to suit every fishing style. Its attention to detail sees holographic textures, abalone and stripes that mimic the natural look of the seabed.”
