Scorziello Sasa: ‘We consider ourselves a dynamic business’

Share

Sales increases across the whole of its Mediterranean markets – plus growing recognition of its stable of brands – signaled another successful year for Italian tackle supplier Scorziello Sasa.

The company – owner of the Jatsui lure brand – says its performance in 2024 has seen a continuation of a positive trend across Europe over the last five years, giving it confidence as it enters another year. Export Manager Armando Zito (pictured) told Angling International that three highlights provided the icing on the cake for Scorziello Sasa in 2024. They were:

  • The company’s appearances at Angling International LIVE (Budapest), Pescare (Naples) and Sredela Lignolov (Croatia). These were part of a series of events attended by Scorziello Sasa across Europe. “It was nice to feel the warmth of those who follow us everywhere. They recognise and appreciate our work, which gives us pleasure and makes us feel honoured,” said Zito.
  • Important developments carried out by Scorziello Sasa which have allowed the company to meet new challenges. Through meeting others in the industry, Zito says that the company has learnt new things including different methods in relation to product development – from 3D drawing presentations and factory visits to see the design and development machines that are responsible for the mass production of fishing tackle. “This has strengthened us and influenced our vision,” added Zito.
  • The release of Scorziello Sasa’s 2025 catalogue in September. “The release was like a breath of fresh air,” said Zito.

All these have contributed to ensure that Scorziello Sasa enters 2025 full of confidence. “We have a close-knit group that is all moving in the same direction at a fast pace. We consider ourselves to be dynamic in a dynamic market,” said Zito. “We have several new items and materials that we will be showing off early in the year – along with other developments in the pipeline. The continued support of our business partners and their desire to participate in our projects are reward for our efforts.”

Taking centrestage in the early part of the year were the Falcon Venere bolo series and the rods, L’Incredible and Furiosa. In the second half, it was the turn of the Jatsui brand to return to the fore with new products for light or heavy vertical jigging techniques and eging. Zito added: “It is also impossible not to mention the Moonlight rod series and our hundreds of inshore and offshore squid fishing varieties.”
