A Chinese reel supplier to many top brands is returning to Angling International LIVE with big news.
Ningbo Seaside, which has been a regular on the European trade show circuit for a number of years, has revealed plans to develop its own brand in the near future. The company’s Scotty Yi told Angling International: “We have been an OEM company for more than two decades and our technology is mature – making us capable of launching our own brand.
“Doing this will enable us to build even better trust with our customers, increase awareness of Ningbo Seaside and improve our competitive edge within the market. Branding can also help us better manage risks.”
The company currently ranks the European market as one of its most important along with the likes of the US and South East Asia and is looking forward to showing visitors to its booth a range of new products, including the S-Series of reels which features a double guidepin construction and slow gear.
Yi says that Ningbo Seaside represents a perfect OEM partner for companies in the industry. “Our company has been rooted in the trade for more than 20 years with advanced imported equipment and machining technology. From design and development to precision testing, and from raw material procurement to strict quality control at the factory, every link is controlled to ensure that every fishing reel handed over to the customer is a perfect work of art.

The company enjoyed a successful Angling International LIVE show in Budapest last year and is looking forward to exhibiting in the new location of Bratislava in June. “The new date is a good fit for us and has proved successful in the past. Influenced by a number of factors, our company experienced a downturn in the last two years. However, the good news is that the situation has improved and we have seized some opportunities that has seen business volume increase and new customers added. We are looking forward to 2025.”
