A Hungarian eco-friendly baitmaker made its debut at Angling International LIVE earlier this year and immediately made an impression with visitors to its booth.
Tamas Csomor, the owner of Wundergaff, told Angling International: “We came here to introduce the Wundergaff brand and look for distributors and OEM opportunities. The interest was strong and we picked up leads from countries that included Germany, Serbia, Switzerland and Japan. I am more than happy with our decision to participate.”
Wundergaff ecobait products focus on the critical role environmentally friendly fish baiting practices play in decreasing the impact of organic waste and preventing water pollution. “Our baits with unique Wundergaff additive components can minimise the environmental footprint of recreational fishing,” explained Csomor.
“We believe in the importance of bio-additives in fish feed which help in the breakdown of excess nutrients without depriving the fish of oxygen. Our innovative product development results and sustainable practices in recreational fishing positively affect both fish health and lake ecosystems.
“Additionally, our ‘leave no trace’ brand activation campaign provides practical guidance on reducing eutrophication – excessive richness of nutrients – through responsible baiting practices.
Features of its bio-additive-enhanced baits include:
- Every bait is made of high quality, environmentally-friendly base ingredients with a specially developed bio-additive by Wundergaff
- Higher nutritional content compared to other baits that is easier to digest and requires smaller quantities
- High quality additives, flavours and fragrances that improve performance
- Material structure of the bait that eliminates waste
- Wundergaff bio-additive, ranging from 5% to 15%, breaks down excess nutrients and reduces depletion of oxygen in the water
“Our mission is to raise awareness of the problems and provide a solution by encouraging anglers to be responsible ‘green’ anglers and use quality bait,” said Csomor. “In addition to happy anglers and fish, we are committed to protecting our natural water ecosystems. Poor feeding habits and practices of anglers – along with the quality of bait thrown into the water by fishermen – are the two major factors that have the greatest impact on our environment.”
Csomor revealed that Wundergaff is set to release a totally new innovation in January. “It is a development that we are very excited about,” he added.
