Just three months after being appointed Managing Director of Pure Fishing EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Asia), John Henderson is to leave the industry.
It has been announced that Henderson, who joined the world’s largest fishing tackle company over 28 years ago, is leaving the fishing trade to join Holland & Holland, a UK-based gunmaker and luxury clothing retailer headquartered in London. He will take up his new role as General Manager early next year.
Henderson, who joined Pure Fishing as a factory worker in 1996, worked his way up the ranks, spending more than 16 years with the group’s iconic fly brand Hardy & Greys before going on to become Brand Business Manager and Commercial Director.
Henderson told the Holland & Holland website: “A company that holds such respect and prestige does not happen without an exceptional team of dedicated and skilled people. I am honoured to be joining this team and look forward to supporting it in driving this eminent brand into the future.”
