America’s ‘favourite rod’ to introduce new GX2 series at ICAST

Ugly Stik – described as America’s favourite fishing rod since 1976 – is reintroducing the GX2 series of rods and combos at ICAST, the world’s largest tackle trade show which opens its doors tomorrow.
The Pure Fishing brand’s newcomer boasts an updated look and new features which are said to make it even stronger and more sensitive than the original.
While the renowned Clear Tip design and Ugly Tech construction remain unchanged, the one-piece stainless steel Ugly Tuff guides have been improved upon in the latest series. These now feature an upgraded, proprietary PVD coating that increases wear resistance and prevents corrosion. The new GX2 also features a rubberized diamond EVA handle for better grip and improved durability and a new reel seat designed for better hand feel and increased sensitivity. All of this is now packed under a 10-year warranty.
