Toadfish gets tough with new Elite Carbon Spinning Reel

If you consider yourself a serious angler, then the new versions of the Elite Carbon Spinning Reels from Toadfish could be just the thing you are looking for.
The just-launched models are now available in 5000 and 6000 sizes and, according to the South Carolina manufacturer, are perfect for chasing pelagics offshore or going after monsters inshore.
Designed to withstand the elements, the 17oz reels feature a sealed carbon drag and sealed bearings to resist saltwater corrosion, while the power knob, stainless steel ball bearings and 24 ton construction add to their durability.
Other big game fish attributes include a 25lb maximum drag, a 39.1in retrieve rate and high spool capacities for both braid and monofilament.
Toadfish takes pains to point out that all parts and components are its own custom designs and patents.
