Share

Former Bassmaster Classic Champion and Angler of the Year winner Skeet Reese has opened a new direct-to-consumer tackle business. The first products available at the online store will be two new rod lines designed by Reese himself.

The NEXT 1 series comprises eight models covering popular and specialised techniques, each one available in the traditional Skeet Reese yellow finish or in black.

And coming soon is the NEXT 2 series, which Reese describes as the most advanced rods he has designed in his career.

“Each NEXT 1 model has its own name and personality according to the techniques it is designed for,” said Reese. “This series is based on the top sellers from my previous projects but engineered to a higher degree and better in every way.

“NEXT 2 is my masterpiece to this point. I’ve designed exclusive reel seats integrated with engineered carbon fibre handles. I’ve used the best graphite and resins we could get and I’m confident that anyone fishing NEXT 2 is going to love them.

Reese says that the two years it took to get  http://reesefishing.com to this point was a lot longer than he had anticipated. “I wanted every detail to be perfect. It was an opportunity to do things exactly the way I want and produce products that meet the standards I expect.”

In addition to his own rod brands, Reese Fishing will also sell KastKing Skeet Reese Icon reels, hardbaits from Lucky Crafty and soft plastic baits from Berkley.

Reese’s career includes 11 tour wins, 82 top 10 finishes, the 2007 Angler of the Year crown and the Classic title in 2009, earning him more than $3.8m in prize money.
