Hans Maasbøl – former CEO of Svendsen Sport – is returning to the industry as CEO of Fairpoint Outdoors A/S, replacing Jens Buhl Jorgensen, the co-founder and CEO of the company, who will step down from his role at the end of May.
Maasbøl (pictured above) will assume his new role on May 1st and join forces with the existing management team consisting of the two other co-founders, Thomas Petersen Eldor and Thomas Jespersen, as well as COO Thomas Sanotra, CFO Jesper Lund Andersen and CIO Kenneth Aabenhus.
The change is part of the succession plan that was initiated when Capidea acquired the majority of the shares in the group, which owns the Westin, Kinetic and Unique Flies brands, in the autumn of 2021. Buhl Jorgensen (left) will remain as a member of the Board and assume the role of Vice Chairman.
Fairpoint Outdoors A/S Chairman Ulla Iversen expressed confidence in Maasbøl’s proven track record and his ability to build on a strong foundation laid by Buhl Jorgensen and the rest of the team. “The Board looks forward to working with Hans and taking the company even further.
“It extends its heartfelt appreciation to Jens for his exceptional leadership and invaluable contributions to the company.”
Buhl Jorgensen expressed his ‘extreme’ gratitude to dedicated team members, partners and stakeholders who have been instrumental in the success of the company. “Their passion, dedication and unwavering support has been the driving force behind Fairpoint’s journey so far.”
