European SMEs signing up to meet customers in big numbers at new show

Share

The chance to meet customers in big numbers and at low cost is attracting smaller tackle businesses to Angling International LIVE.

A limited number of European starter packages for the show are available to European exhibitors, offering everything you need to be on the show floor at the lowest possible price: a shell scheme booth, furniture and power for less than EUR 2000 if secured before March 31st.

If you are yet to register, take inspiration from three businesses who have taken booths at previous European shows and will be in Budapest again in September with high expectations of generating future sales.

Wales-based Dragon International (below) is a supplier of fishing flies and a regular attendee of European trade shows. Owner Terry Clease registered online as soon as news broke of Angling International LIVE.

Says Clease: “I need the opportunity to meet our customers and attract new business. A European show is really important for small to medium-sized companies like us. Quality people attended last year’s event and we picked up new partners that we wouldn’t have unless I had been in Budapest. We are looking for a repeat this year.”

Another British business and regular at EFTTEX in the past is the terminal tackle specialist, Dinsmores. MD Nigel May (below centre) told Angling International: “A European show is so important for us because it is a window for small and medium-sized manufacturers to showcase their products to wholesalers and retailers. It is an opportunity to champion the small guy.

“It costs a lot of money to visit all your customers individually, so having a show where you can see them all in just three days makes so much sense for us.”

Alongside the two UK companies in the hall in Budapest in September will be Bulgarian bait maker Madiks, whose owner Ilian Madjarov celebrated his best ever European show last June.

Madjarov (below) said of Angling International LIVE: “This is great news for Madiks. Last year’s show (EFTTEX) was successful for us and we are looking forward to a repeat under a new name and organiser.

“It is also important for us to have a platform where we can meet people from the same industry and share thoughts and ideas. These shows help move our industry forward.” His advice to SMEs considering booking is simple: “Don’t hesitate. Trade shows always pay back with a lot of contacts and business opportunities.”
