Econcrete debuts new ‘green’ long-casting weights

After more than a year of testing, environmentally-friendly fishing weights manufacturer Econcrete introduced a range of products especially for distance casting.

The High Tech Distance Weights were shown for the first time at the Carp Den Bosch show in the Netherlands. The Dutch company says that the aerodynamic models are designed to realise the same or larger distances compared to standard lead weights.

“We have integrated the concept/design of an aeroplane wing,” explained Econcrete. “This high tech shape eliminates the braking effect due to the larger size when compared to lead, allowing you to cast longer distances.”

One of the four wings is two per cent thicker to ensure a non-spinning stable fight, while the wings also prevent them sliding down the line – a unique feature of Econcrete weights.
