Carp Zoom casts light on new generation of zoomable LED lamps

Hungarian tackle supplier Carp Zoom is developing a new generation of zoomable LED lamps as it builds on growing demand for more powerful, longer-lasting lighting among night anglers.

The company has supplied tent lights, night-fishing lamps and headlamps since its early days, responding to anglers’ need for practical illumination on the bank. That range has evolved steadily, particularly over the past decade as LED technology has made lamps smaller, lighter and more powerful while extending battery life and adding new functions.

“The current development focus is on higher-capacity batteries, brighter LEDs and adjustable-beam models that allow anglers to focus the light and see further into the distance – features with clear appeal for carp, predator and lure anglers fishing after dark,” explained the company’s Export/Import Manager, Agnes Perecz.

“Battery endurance remains one of the main purchasing factors with modern lithium models enabling considerably longer operating times. Motion-sensor activation is also increasingly popular, allowing a headlamp or light to switch on through a hand movement or a tilt of the head.”

Perecz added that colour modes are another important part of the specification. Red light is valued by anglers who want to reduce insect attraction around the swim, while green has found a following among anglers fishing lures at night.

“The popularity of our lighting range is value for money, dependable manufacturing and a commitment to keeping pace with useful new technology,” said Perecz. “With night fishing remaining a significant part of the angling market, the category is strategically important to the company. The forthcoming zoomable lamps point to where the sector is heading – not simply brighter lights, but more adaptable tools designed around the different demands of night fishing.”
