Serbian plastics tackle maker signs up for EFTTEX after ‘great’ show experience

Share

A ‘great experience’ at last year’s Angling International LIVE has persuaded the leading Serbian maker of plastic fishing products to exhibit at EFTTEX.

Dejan Galic (pictured top, left with his father), Manager of Dejan Plast, told Angling International: “We have seen the positive impact this kind of show has on business in connecting with new people and companies and we are looking forward to doing the same in September.

“Last year we saw that our products are popular with western European countries and Brussels will give us access to these markets. It will also be an opportunity to find out what is happening in the world of sportfishing.

“Our plan is to connect with businesses from the Benelux countries and maybe to introduce ourselves to those in France to add to our main markets of Bulgaria, Germany and Bosnia and Herzegovina.”

Galic added that the company will be introducing new products at the show alongside its whole range of items. “Our main focus will be on rod holders and our aromatic pop-up corn for which great interest has been shown from buyers because of their excellent quality.

“Because we hail from the Balkans area, where the workforce is cheaper than in EU countries, we can offer great quality products at reasonable prices. We can also develop items that are unique and new for our customers.

“In addition, we offer OEM services so that businesses have the choice of the Dejan Plast brand or their own.”

Galic said that Dejan Plast enjoyed a great start to the year which was punctuated by poor weather from February which curtailed fishing activities. “However,” he explained, “at the end of May business is starting like it should have at the beginning of March and we are now hoping for a better half of the year,

“We also expect results from EFTTEX which will give us some new orders for the winter.”
