Simms Fishing Products has announced the appointment of Dexter ‘Dex’ Levandoski as Global Sales Leader.
Levandoski brings more than 15 years of experience in the fishing and outdoor industries, with a career built on trusted relationships with speciality retailers, industry partners and anglers. He spent the majority of his career with Patagonia, first as a fly fishing sales representative across the Northern Rockies and ultimately leading North American sales for its fly-fishing business. Most recently, Levandoski joined Poncho Outdoors to spearhead the brand’s expansion into wholesale.
“Dex brings exactly the combination we were looking for – proven sales leadership, deep industry relationships and a deep connection to fishing,” said Dave Mellon, President of Simms Fishing Products. “As we look toward the future of Simms, we want to be the strongest business partner in fishing, and Dex will play a critical role in helping us deliver on that commitment.”
Levandoski joins Simms as the brand renews its focus on the dealers, guides and anglers who have long been fundamental to its success. His addition further strengthens a Simms leadership team focused on great product, stronger partnerships and delivering consistently for the people who have built their businesses alongside the brand.
“Throughout his career, Levandoski has earned a reputation as a credible and trusted sales leader with a deep understanding of the speciality fishing channel. Just as importantly, he is a lifelong angler who has traveled the globe in pursuit of fish and the experiences that connect people to the water,” added Mellon.
“Simms is one of the most iconic brands in fishing, built by and for passionate anglers, with best-in-class product and deep roots in the fishing community,” said Levandoski. “I’m excited to join the team and get to work alongside our partners around the world. My focus will be simple: listen, build trust and make sure we are creating value for our partners and anglers at every opportunity.”
