An award-winning European bait manufacturer with more than 15 years of OEM experience is positioning itself as a flexible, full-service partner for brands seeking to develop or expand their private-label ranges.
Bulgarian-based Madiks, which won a runners-up award at this year’s EFTTEX trade show in Barcelona, manufactures a broad selection of fishing baits, including groundbaits, pellets, liquids, wafters, additives and particles. While its complete portfolio can be supplied under a customer’s own brand, it says groundbaits, liquids and particles are particularly strong options where an attractive price-to-quality ratio is required.
Customisation is central to the offer. Ilian Madjarov, Madiks General Manager (below), told Angling International: “Materials, flavours, colours and sizes can all be tailored to a customer’s requirements. There are no fixed limits on product specification.”

Crucially for new and emerging brands, the business aims to remain flexible on minimum order quantities. “Our production structure is designed to handle batches of varying sizes, allowing new OEM customers to begin at a manageable scale before building volume.”
Sample development can be fast when a product is based on an established format, with standard samples generally possible within around a week. More bespoke development requires additional time, but Madjarov added it works to maintain momentum throughout the process. Repeat orders are usually completed within a month, subject to factory workload and order volume.
Beyond manufacturing, the supplier offers a complete OEM service. This includes product formulation, packaging and label design, local package printing and in-house production of ingredient and barcode stickers. “Customers can supply their own proven recipes or work collaboratively from samples, making adjustments until the final formulation is approved.”
Each OEM client’s specifications are stored as a unique production record, covering the bait recipe, packaging, labels, barcode stickers and branded or unbranded outer boxes. This helps protect product individuality and supports consistent repeat production. Exclusive colours, scents, moulds and product designs can also be developed for private-label customers.
Adds Madjarov: “Quality control is embedded throughout production, with staff completing checks at every stage and a dedicated final inspection carried out before dispatch. This means that errors caused by human error are substantially reduced.”

The manufacturer is EU-registered as a groundbait producer. Its formulations and labelling comply with current EU requirements. It can also work with environmentally conscious packaging options available through its packaging partners.
A wide range of bags, jars and bottles can be sourced from multiple packaging factories, all branded to the customer’s requirements. Finished products can then be shipped directly to warehouses, distributors or fulfilment partners across Europe, using local logistics providers to secure competitive EU delivery rates.
“For the company, the most valuable OEM relationships are built over time. Our focus is on establishing trust, reliable repeat business and a smooth long-term partnership that benefits both manufacturer and brand.”
