Panther Martin prepares to shine at ICAST once again

After 68 years in the business, Panther Martin knows a thing or two about fishing lures.

That’s why at ICAST this year, visitors to its booth will see a plethora of new sparklers that are additions to its already popular spinner series as well as a brand new range and three new multi-lure kits.

One is especially for salmon and steelhead anglers.

“When extra long casts are needed or deep presentations are required to reach the fish, the Panther Martin ROCKET Series is what you want on your line,” says the company.

“Their sleek tubular bodies are aerodynamically designed and intentionally weighted so even shore-based anglers can cast further. They mimic multiple food sources and create tiny air bubbles upon retrieval, which triggers a fish’s predatory instincts.”

Of course, the ROCKET features Panther Martin’s iconic shaft-through-the-blade design and convex/concave blades in genuine gold or silver plating and high-contrast colours – they wouldn’t be a Panther Martin without it. Also joining the ranks of ‘The Greatest Fish Catcher of All Time’ will be a new colour to the Custom Salmon & Steelhead series that debuted at ICAST last year. It’s a line-up that features what the big fish bite: over-sized blades, heavy weighted teardrop bodies, silver beads lining the shaft and more.

The new Silver Blade and Purple Metallic stunner features a genuine silver-plated blade half painted in a deep purple. The body is a metallic teardrop shape that’s weighted to cast further and go deeper. Purple has long been a highly popular colour for lures because even at greater depth, it remains highly visible. “With a metallic finish and over-sized genuine silver-plated blade, this new colour will send fish into a feeding frenzy,” says the company. It will be available in five sizes.

Panther Martin is also adding three new colours and patterns to its Classic Holographic Series. This has remained a perennial favourite of freshwater anglers with shimmering holographic patterns that have proven themselves time and time again such as Holographic Brown Trout, Holographic Tiger Green and Holographic Spotted Blue.
In 2027, anglers will see the new Holographic Sierra Red Madness, Holographic Sierra Blue Madness and the Holographic Sierra Bleeding Frog. All three embody Panther Martin’s famous attributes – convex/concave blade, shaft that threads directly through the blade and high quality colours and patterns.

The Holographic Sierra Red Madness has a red and gold ombré effect with black dots. The Holographic Sierra Blue Madness mixes silver, blue and red with red, yellow and black dots. The most exciting is the Holographic Sierra Bleeding Frog. The teardrop body is painted a rich metallic green covered in black dots with a yellow outline. The blade is a unique red/green camo kind of pattern with large black dots and yellow outlines.

Available in three sizes, it is perfect for trout, bass, walleye, perch and crappie.
