BUBBA at its first EFTTEX: ‘We met the right prospects’

Premium fishing tools brand BUBBA has set its sights on expanding across Europe after what it says was a highly productive first appearance at EFTTEX.

While overall visitor numbers at the show were lighter than expected, Justin Riley (above), BUBBA International Sales Manager, reported that the quality of attendees more than compensated, with a strong presence of decision-makers actively seeking new brands and products.

“Foot traffic was fairly light, but those who attended were the right people,” he said. “We met visitors who were genuinely interested, making the show a worthwhile investment for us.”

The company attended EFTTEX with clear objectives: to identify potential distribution partners, explore marketing opportunities and connect with social media partners capable of increasing awareness of the BUBBA brand across Europe.

Riley added that these goals look to have been achieved, with the company generating several promising leads. While much of the interest came from Europe, BUBBA was also surprised by opportunities emerging from South Africa.

Rather than focusing on specific territories, BUBBA’s European strategy centres on finding the right partners. The company is seeking distributors capable of efficiently servicing either individual countries or the wider EU market.

“We’re looking throughout Europe for strong partners who can effectively handle distribution, whether at a national level or across multiple markets,” added Riley.

BUBBA’s booth attracted considerable attention from visitors, many of whom were already familiar with the brand despite its first appearance at a European trade show. Its partnership with Major League Fishing (MLF) in the US helped draw interest to its Smart Scale range, while its Electric Fillet Knives (EFKs) continued to generate strong recognition among anglers.

“BUBBA is a well-recognised brand and our products really stood out at the show,” said Riley.

The company believes its reputation for quality and durability positions it well for success in Europe’s diverse fishing sectors. “BUBBA is a premium, high-quality brand that performs exceptionally well in both freshwater and saltwater environments.
