Household industry name to enter new product categories at EFTTEX

Norwegian fishing tackle supplier Mustad is returning to EFTTEX this year and promising product launches in new categories for the brand.

The company – renowned across the globe for its iconic range of hooks – has been branching out into other tackle segments in recent years and will be continuing that expansion at Europe’s premier show in Barcelona next month.

Lovro Vudrag, Mustad’s Marketing & Design Manager EMEA, told Angling International: “We will be entering the product awards again this year with new technical features in our hook production alongside lure developments and selected product launches in segments where we have not been present been before.

“Many of these innovations are being kept under wraps and will be revealed for the first time to our partners and visitors at EFTTEX.”

Mustad won three awards at last year’s EFTTEX return in Brussels with the BAKUTAKI saltwater rod, UV Orange Treble hook and BSJ Jig. Vudrag said: “The awards are very important to us as they are one of the most respected platforms in the industry for recognising genuine innovations. They are assessed by experts who understand both technical development and real world performance.

“They also represent a strong validation of extensive R&D, engineering expertise and angler-focused development that goes into every new product we launch.

“Winning an award confirms that our innovation strategy is on the right path and reflects our commitment to advancing materials, manufacturing technologies and functional designs that deliver measurable benefits for anglers.”

As a marketing tool, Vudrag said that an award delivered increased confidence from retailers and distributors, faster product acceptance and stronger positioning in competitive markets. “It serves as a trusted sign of quality that supports business growth and long-term partnerships.”
