Industry figures in ballot for induction into BFHOF

Three fishing tackle industry figures are among the names on the shortlist for induction into the prestigious Bass Fishing Hall of Fame (BFHOF) .

Lynn Reeves, one of the driving forces behind the award-winning Lew’s Fishing brand, Rick Pierce, founder of Bass Cat and Mike Whitaker of Operation Bass, will be on the ballot sheet with nine other people who have made a meaningful impact on the sport.

The full list of contenders includes: Terry Brown (media), Edwin Evers (angler), Don Lovino (angler), Pam Martin-Wells (angler), Andy Morgan (angler), John Murray (angler), Takahiro Omori (angler), Rick Pierce (industry), Lynn Reeves (industry), Hal Schramm (educator), Clark Wendland (angler) and Mike Whitaker (industry).

“These folks have spent most of their lives contributing to the lifestyle and sport of bass fishing,” said Bruce Stanton, President of the Bass Fishing Hall of Fame Board of Directors. “It is a high honour just to be nominated to the final ballot. And a few of these individuals will be immortalised forever in our hall in Springfield, Missouri.”

The Class of 2026 will be announced in March with the inductees honoured during the Celebrate Bass Fishing Week when the BFHOF holds it annual induction ceremony on September 24.
