Danish tackle supplier announces New Year reel launches

Danish tackle brand, Westin Fishing, is set to launch its first spinning reels next month in addition to a baitcasting range.
The Fairpoint Outdoors brand will be unveiling the new W6-BC ‘HD’ 301 SSG (Heavy Duty) baitcaster, designed for hardcore pike fishing. Westin says it was developed in conjunction with some of the best pike anglers in Europe.
It comes with a GT-B brass gear train to ensure maximum strength.
Other key features include:
- 10+1 stainless ball bearings;
- Full aluminium frame;
- Multi-stack carbon drag;
- 13kg maximum drag;
- 5.6:1 gearing;
- Line capacity: 0.30mm/230m.
In addition, it comes with all the features on the standard W6 BC , including the drag clicker, stay-on sideplate and fast line connector.
