Costa owner could acquire stake in world famous fashion house

The owner of one of the world’s best-known fishing eyewear brands is reported to be considering acquiring a stake in fashion house, Georgio Armani.

EssilorLuxottica – owner of Costa – wants to acquire a 5% to 10% stake in the world renowned fashion brand according to a report on RetailDetail EU.

It says that the potential transaction comes in the wake of the death of Georgio Armani in September. In his will the Italian entrepreneur requested his heirs sell an initial 15% within 18 months to one of three preferred buyers – LVMH, EssilorLuxottica or L’Oréal – or a company of comparable size.
