One of Europe’s top bait makers has struck an OEM deal that will see anglers in Lithuania using products specially designed for their region.
Hungarian-based wholesaler and manufacturer Energofish has cooperated with its partner of four years – Zvejbos Reikmenys – to develop groundbait and boilies especially for the company.
Zvejbos Reikmenys owns the country’s largest tackle shop in Kaunas – Lithuania’s second city – and the biggest website in the Baltic region from which it sells Energofish products. It is also a distributor to tackle shops in the region.

Istvan Pal, CEO of Energofish, and Edgaras Sinkevičius (above), owner of Zvejbos Reikmenys, decided on the new cooperation at EFTTEX in September and are on track to have carp and method feeder baits in the hands of anglers for the start of next season.
“The bait requirements of Lithuanian and Hungarian anglers are different and our team has been working with Energofish to develop products that reflect that,” said Sinkevičius. “It is our first OEM partnership, and we expect other bait developments to come as a result. This is an important development for my company.
“We are pleased to be working with a brand like Energofish. It is very loyal, easy to communicate and has the ability to make changes quickly and efficiently.”

Pal added: “Lithuania is a small country, but through working with Edgaras and his company we have achieved good numbers and believe that, with a lot of work, we can continue to keep growing in the country. The relationship with our partners is built on tradition and loyalty. They are the key elements of our business.
“At EFTTEX our product engineers discussed with Lithuanian specialists their requirements and we showed samples of the baits, their components and recipes.
“We hope that this will lead to increased business in 2026 and further strengthen our relationship.”
Integral to the start of business links between Energofish and Zvejbos Reikmenys has been Rytis Rukšėnas (left), who joined the company as Sales Manager four years ago. He previously worked in his father’s business – an Energofish customer for over three decades.
He told Angling International: “Every market is different and we are looking forward to working with Energofish to develop products for the Lithuanian market. We have a huge team within the company who compete in method fishing tournaments at the highest level and they are constantly testing new products for the local market.
“I worked with Istvan at Energofish for over 18 years and knew him throughout my childhood, considering him as a second father to me. When my father closed his business, I joined Zvejbos Reikmenys and immediately recommended working with the company.
“It has proved to be a successful partnership that is going from strength to strength and this latest collaboration has cemented that even further.”
