Are you confident your products will succeed in Europe? Entering a new region of 30 separate territories can be daunting, and hoping everything works seamlessly is risky. That’s why Outdoor Eye, the agency founded by former Pure Fishing Brand and Product Manager Nathan Leney, is now offering a free product assessment for international tackle brands.
The assessment includes:
The offer is designed to help brands identify which elements of their range are likely to succeed in Europe and which may need adaptation – giving them a clear roadmap before market entry. Brands can apply direct to Leney here.
“We know that entering Europe can be complex and expensive,” says Leney. “This assessment is a way for brands to understand their potential in European markets before making big investments.
“It is a free service that minimises the risks involved and begins your working relationship with Outdoor Eye. Once we understand your business and your ambitions, we can begin preparing you for long-term growth in Europe.”
Leney is on a mission to bridge the gap between the ambitions of international brands and their European results. After leaving Pure Fishing, he launched Outdoor Eye to guide brands through every step of becoming ‘Europe ready’ – from product compliance and packaging to marketing and distributor partnerships.
“At Pure Fishing we had departments covering every aspect of the product launch cycle. I realised that brands from outside Europe had no equivalent support. They often attend trade shows at great expense, only to find their product line-up isn’t right and packaging isn’t compliant,” Leney explains.
“It is also time consuming to attend trade shows, hold meetings with potential partners and only then know what products you should be developing for Europe. It could be another year – and another show – before you are meeting again and agreeing deals. Working with Outdoor Eye gets you selling quicker.”

Outdoor Eye provides on-the-ground support, helping brands navigate the complexities of European regulations – from France’s TRIMAN recycling and labelling rules to Nordic lead restrictions – while also creating localised marketing content with European talent.
“Brands succeed when there is a consistent message that appeals to local consumers. That’s why we have a network of content creators and anglers across Europe producing creative, engaging collateral,” Leney says.
Outdoor Eye is making its free offer to small to medium-sized brands with big aspirations, whether they are just starting to think about Europe or already present but struggling to grow market share.
“All brands have an identity, one they may not want to deviate from, but without change, there can’t be growth. We help brands adapt where necessary and launch systematically,” Leney adds.
