Italian fishing tackle supplier Scorziello has entered the Australian market following a distribution agreement with one of the country’s top names in the industry.
The company’s Jatsui brand will be sold by Wilson Fishing, a supplier and distributor of tackle, and will be available through the BCF (Boating, Camping, Fishing) stores – the largest retailer of tackle in Australia.
Scorziello Import/Export Manager, Armando Zito, told Angling International: “As we continue our journey, we are confident that understanding and serving each market will ensure Jatsui’s evolution into a brand that is recognised and respected by anglers worldwide.
“The future is bright and we look forward to reeling in new partners and opportunities across the world.”
He revealed that the brand has customised some sizes and colours of its squid jigs for its new market. “We have also improved our production processes to ensure we have the right products that are capable of coping with the very aggressive Australian squid.”
Zito explained that Scorziello has completed its project to grow the brand across the Mediterranean and is now targeting markets further afield, including other parts of Europe, Asia – where it already has contacts in Japan and Korea – and Oceania.
“Globally, we are not only looking to distribute our products, but also offer an OEM service.”
