Fishing Republic celebrates 40th year with AT membership renewal

One of the UK’s leading fishing tackle retailers is celebrating its 40th anniversary year by reaffirming its membership of the national fishing body that represents anglers in the region.

Fishing Republic, which has more than 60 stores located within the GO Outdoors retail chain, has pledged its ongoing support for the Angling Trust (AT).

GO Outdoors Marketing Manager, Stephanie Mann, said: “We continue to support the amazing work that the Angling Trust do to protect, promote and develop fishing for all. The guidance it gives to grassroots angling clubs is fantastic and the campaigning work it leads for clean rivers and healthy fish stocks is inspiring too.

“Quite simply, we care about the sport and the future of fishing, which is why we continue to support the Angling Trust.”.

Jamie Cook, CEO of the Angling Trust, added: “Having a mainstream outdoors retailer dedicating so much space to fishing is a huge benefit to the sport.”

As part of its renewed partnership, Fishing Republic continues to support the Angling Trust’s wide-ranging work – from grassroots club development to national campaigns for clean water and healthy fish stocks.
