ASA elects four new Board of Directors

Four members of the American Sportfishing Association (ASA) have been elected to fill two At-Large seats and two regional seats on the Board of Directors. Their three-year terms begin October 1, 2024.

ASA is the national trade association that represents the sportfishing industry. The association has six regions: West, South Central, Great Lakes, Southeast, Northeast and Northern Plains and Inter-mountain. Each member company or organisation is assigned to the region where that member’s primary business is located.

 Elected to the At-Large board seats:

  • Jeff Kolodzinski –Brand Manager, Fishing, Johnson Outdoors
  • Casey Shedd –President, AFTCO 

Elected to the Regional board seats:

  • Dan Pastore –Co-Founder, President and CEO, FishUSA, Northeast Region 
  • Bruce Stanton– VP and GM, PRADCO, South Central Region 

“I congratulate Casey Shedd and Bruce Stanton on being re-elected to the Board of Directors and welcome Jeff Kolodzinski and Dan Pastore to their first terms on the Board,” said ASA President Glenn Hughes.

“These four seasoned industry professionals and long-standing ASA members contribute decades of expertise to ASA’s governing board. I look forward to working with them and would like to extend my gratitude to the entire Board for its dedication and service to the industry and the entire recreational fishing community.”

The current members of ASA’s Board of Directors are: Executive Committee: Phil Lillo (Don Coffey Company), Chair; Patrick Gill (TackleDirect), Vice Chair; Casey Shedd (AFTCO Manufacturing), Secretary; Dan McDonald (Yakima Bait Company), Treasurer; Dan Ferris (Midwest Outdoors), At-Large; and Jesse Simpkins (St. Croix Rod), Immediate Past Chairman.

Board members – Ken Eubanks (Rather Outdoors); Kathy Fennel (Major League Fishing); Peter Foley (Boone Bait Company); Carey Graves (Daiwa USA); Todd Hammill (Wired2Fish); Frank Hugelmeyer (National Marine Manufacturers Association); Matt Jensen (Rapala USA); John Johnson (Low Tide); Doug Lasko (Okuma Fishing Tackle); Chris Megan (On The Water); Daniel Nussbaum (Z-Man Fishing Products); David Pfeiffer (Shimano North American Fishing); Mike Powell, (Mason Tackle); Bruce Stanton (PRADCO Fishing) and Mark Tisa (Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife).
