Norolan – a traditional maker of lures – has won a national award in its homeland for its exceptional contribution that strengthens the value and vitality of craftsmanship in Finnish society.
At the Finnish Handicraft Gala, it was awarded the Kultainen ote (Golden Grip) for its efforts to produce homemade and sustainable fishing lures.
The company said: “While much of the fishing industry has shifted production to China, Norolan has chosen a different path. The majority of our products are made here in Finland, where craftsmanship still means something. Our mission is to prove that going against the flow, investing in local skill, sustainability and authenticity isn’t just possible, it’s powerful.
“This recognition is not just for us, but every craftsperson, angler and supporter who still believes that quality and meaning matter.”
