A leading provider of coolers and storage solutions for anglers has opened a distribution facility in Italy as part of a strategic investment in regional logistics and customer service across the EMEA marine market.

Sweden-based Dometic has officially opened its new European logistics facility in Forli, which lies in the heart of Italy’s thriving marine industry. The inuaguration was led by the company’s Group President and CEO, Juan Vargues, and Marine Segment President, Eric Fetchko.
Following a major flood in 2023, the site has undergone extensive refurbishment to meet the needs of the Stockholm company. “Our goal is to bring Dometic closer to customers both physically and operationally,” said Vargues. “With Forli we are not only doing that, but also building future readiness and resilience for our marine business in Europe.”
The facility will significantly reduce lead times for customers and strengthen Dometic’s EMEA footprint. It complements Dometic’s exisiting presence near Milan as well as its global operations in the US and Asia Pacific.

“This new facility reinforces our commitment to the European marine industry. Forli gives us a highly strategic location offering centralised access to key markets and close to key OEMs. It is a powerful step in building a more responsive customer-focused supply chain,” said Fetchko.
Dometic provides installed products for land vehicles and boats as well as standalone solutions for anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts. It employs 7,000 people globally and sells products in more than 100 countries. Last year it reported net sales of SEK 25 billion (USD 2.3 billion) and is headquartered in Stockholm.
