Shimano says award-winning braid is ‘performance upgrade’

Shimano line brand PowerPro introduced the Max 8 at ICAST, a new high-performance braided fishing line engineered for offshore anglers who demand smooth casting, superior control and rugged durability in demanding saltwater environments.
Built with an eight-carrier Spectra HT fibre, the Max-8 is said to slice effortlessly through water for ultra-precise vertical jigging, trolling and casting applications. At 25% thinner than comparable lines, Max-8 delivers increased line capacity without sacrificing the trusted strength for which PowerPro is known.

Engineered with Enhanced Body Technology (EBT), it is infused with resin throughout every fibre to create a rounder, smoother profile. The result: enhanced castability, improved line management and excellent abrasion resistance, which are essential features for anglers pushing gear to its limits.
