A leading Polish supplier of fishing footwear is set to return to EFTTEX after securing funding to take the company to the next level on the international stage.
Sapro System, owner of the Camminare Boots brand, has secured financial support under the European Funds for Silesia Programme 2021-2027, which is designed to help SMEs in the region increase their competitiveness and conquer new international markets.
The funding enables the business to participate in international trade shows in 2025. As a result, it will be showing off its fishing footwear at EFTTEX in September where it will be actively seeking global distributors and agents. It also has plans to attend this month’s Spoga+Gafa Fair in Cologne, Germany, and the A+A trade event in Düsseldorf in November.

Sapro System CEO Gianluca Barbirato (pictured) told Angling International: “Although the funding is helpful, it is only one element of our broader strategy. We see it as a tool that allows us to continue what we are already doing – reaching new markets, building strong relationships and promoting our products internationally.
“This support covers selected activities abroad plus access to expertise and networking opportunities.”
Barbirato added that the resumption of EFTTEX after a six-year break aligns with the company’s product launch schedule and the start of the 2025/2026 fishing season. “Given the growing demand for high quality outdoor and fishing footwear – coupled with the current post-pandemic trends – we feel that now is the ideal time to invest in innovation and expansion.
“We are attending the event to showcase our latest fishing boots and wellies to the international angling community, connect with new distributors and strengthen relationships with existing partners. Our goal is to present the Camminare Boots brand to a broader audience, gather feedback from industry professionals and explore new export opportunities, especially in key European markets.”
The business is targeting further growth in western Europe as well as exploring opportunities in North and South America. “Establishing Camminare Boots as a leading fishing boots manufacturer in all markets is the aim,” said Barbirato. “We have already made initial attempts to enter the US market by exhibiting at the ICAST trade show in 2022.
“However, it was the first show after the pandemic and perhaps the timing wasn’t ideal for introducing our fishing boots.”
Barbirato added that Camminare Boots offers customers high quality products at reasonable prices, backed up by strong marketing support and a wide range of footwear tailored to meet the needs of anglers and outdoor enthusiasts.
“We are well known for our customer service – something our clients consistently appreciate and praise,” he said. The company operates under the ISO 9001 2015 quality management system, which ensures consistency, traceability and continuous improvement across its production processes. Annual control audits are conducted to verify compliance and high standards maintenance.

Fishing represents a significant growth area for the business. “While we also serve the food processing, safety and general workwear markets as well as wholesale wellies for the children’s segment and leisure shoes, demand for fishing boots and wellingtons has been steadily increasing and now accounts for a substantial share of our production and exports,” explained Barbirato.
At EFTTEX Camminare Boots will be showing off its newest fishing boots, including the Sicuro Hook, which won a runner-up prize at last year’s Angling International LIVE show. It will also be demonstrating the unique features of its boots – their lightweight construction, slip-resistant qualities and comfort. Heading up the team will be Danuta Zielinska (pictured) of the Sapro System Export Department, who confirmed that the focus will be on meeting distributors from western Europe seeking a high quality footwear brand to add to their catalogues.

Added Barbirato: “For many years we have been a private label boot maker for a number of partners. This has given us in-depth knowledge of handling large orders and adapting to diverse market requirements. As a result, we have successfully operated across regions from Canada, through Europe, all the way to Japan – and we are fully prepared to deliver our footwear to every corner of the world.
“Today our focus is on building and developing our own Camminare Boots brand and offering customers products that reflect our passion, expertise and commitment.”
