Simms owner to implement price increases in light of tariffs

Share

The owner of one of the world’s best known fly fishing brands has announced that it will be increasing prices as a result of tariffs announced by the Trump Administration and the rising costs of doing business.

The American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) has reproduced a letter on its website from the Andy Keegan, Chief Financial Office of Revelyst – owner of Simms Fishing Products – in which he says that price increases will be effective beginning June 15.

He says: “Due to the presidential administration’s addition of incremental tariffs from specific countries and the rising cost of doing business in today’s economy, Revelyst is making the necessary adjustments to our pricing structure.”

“We did not make this decision lightly. However, these pricing adjustments will ensure we can continue to design, manufacture and ship world class products that you expect from our brands.

“Because this is a dynamic environment with frequent foreign trade policy changes, we will continue to monitor the landscape and make further adjustments.”
