Italy’s Pescare Show enjoyed a resurgence this year with a 50% increase in visitors following its move from Vicenza to Rimini.

It was the inaugural event staged at the Italian Exhibition Group’s (IEG) Rimini venue and also delivered a 90% increase in business visitors, described as a ‘game changer’ in terms of foreign participation.

“The event welcomed a diverse community of experts and fishing enthusiasts of all ages, showcasing a revamped format and strong connection to the local area and emerging trends. Rimini, with its deep-rooted connection to the sea and its dedication to hosting world class events, including sports and lifestyle, proved to be the perfect setting for a show that saw a staggering 90% increase in international visitors, including buyers from the European supply chain,” said the organiser.

The show also experienced a significant increase in exhibitors with over 100 brands represented. “The offer was enriched by new nautical and electronic brands as well as kayaks and motor boats. A wide range of techniques were also showcased including sea fishing, tenkara, spey casting and street and light rock fishing.

“IEG’s strategy, shared with industry associations and exhibitors, proved to be a great success. By bringing the trade’s main national event to a region known for its love of the sport in all its forms, IEG made a smart move.”

The second Pescare event of 2025 is set to take place at the Mostra d’Oltremare, Naples, from March 21st to 23rd, while the Rimini Expo Centre will once again host the event from February 13th to 15th, 2026.
